ANNUAL FEAST

Though named after St. Thomas, year after year the parish celebrates the annual feast on August 15th, the day of ascension of St. Mary, who lives in the daily life experiences of everyone associated with this parish. This day of annual feast is at a time a day of blessing for the spiritual community and a carnival for the local community. The feast lasts for two days beginning with the vespers, sermon and a colourful procession on 14th evening. The procession, which is an enthralling experience, takes a route through the Shavakotta Bridge, Convent Square, Vazhichery Bridge and finally enters the church, after which the main priest delivers the benediction. 15th August, the second day of the annual feast commences with the Morning prayers at 7 am followed by Holy Qurbana and a shorter procession around the church. Students who secured highest marks in various examinations are congratulated and rewarded. Then the celebrant delivers the benediction, which is followed by the grand love-feast, with which the celebrations of the annual feast come to an end.

SANTHOME FEASTIVAL

Every year a day is dedicated for conducting an annual auction, that is, the harvest festival, titled as Santhome, when all the parishioners assemble in the church. The income from this auction is completely diverted towards various charity oriented works done by the parish.
