SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School is an active and dynamic spiritual organization in the parish. From class 1 to class 12, there are 83 students, 12 teachers and many non-teaching staffs. The organization works efficiently as a single entity under the leadership of the headmaster Mr. Philipose, Bethel House. Mr. P.T. Mathew Amballoor is presently the staff secretary of this Sunday school unit and is appointed as the Secretary of the Thalavadi District Sunday School of the Niranam Diocese.

The Sunday School helps in moulding a child to survive with morals and values even in the most unethical circumstances. Here each individual is respected and valued for his/her potential irrespective of the social and financial surroundings. Life and experiences of the teachers are interpolated with those of the Biblical characters so that learning becomes not just an academic or a book-eating process, but a meaningful process in which the students are motivated to be ethical in their outlook towards life. This is the prime principle upon which a team of dedicated and committed mentors work in our Sunday School. The interest and curiosity of the teachers and parents in discovering and encouraging a wide range of talents in the students are highly appreciated. It is with immense contentment the parish remembers all the children who secured glorifying achievements in various competitions held at the district, diocesan and central levels of the Sunday School.
